Who can apply to adopt?
We welcome all backgrounds

We welcome individuals from all walks of life to apply to adopt – regardless of age, race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality.
Whether you’re single, living with a disability, or over a certain age, we encourage you to reach out and explore whether adoption could be the right path for you.
To adopt, you’ll need to lead a child-friendly lifestyle, provide a stable and supportive home, and be prepared for the challenges and lifelong commitment that come with parenthood.
Love, patience, resilience, and time are all essential in helping a child grow and thrive.
A Safe and Loving Home Matters Most
There’s no requirement to own your home or have a specific amount of savings. Many of our adoptive parents rent their homes and go on to provide safe, loving, and nurturing environments.
What matters most is that you can meet a child’s needs and offer a secure, stable place to call home.
We welcome people from outside of Merseyside to apply with us.
You must:
Be over 21 years old.
Be a legal resident in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, and have been so for at least 12 months.
Have no criminal conviction or caution for offences against children or for serious offences.
We are particularly looking for parents who can consider a child/children that:
Are part of a sibling group
Have complex needs or a disability
Are aged between 3-6 years old
Request an information pack to find out more about the process.
